Ilanga Lodge is a unique retreat in the heart of Welgevonden Game Reserve. Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, the lodge offers guests an authentic bush experience. The lodge is ideal for couples, families, or groups. It is also possible to reserve the lodge exclusively on request. The main lodge features a large wooden deck, an elegant dining area and a refreshing swimming pool overlooking a picturesque dam, a rare and captivating setting that truly sets Ilanga apart. Whether you are relaxing on the deck, taking a dip in the pool or heading out on a game drive, Ilanga promises an unforgettable stay in the African wilderness. The lodge consists of six en-suite bedrooms located on either side of the main lodge, all enjoying beautiful views of the dam. Each unit consists of two separate bedrooms allowing families or friends to stay close to each other within the same unit. A dedicated and highly skilled team of staff will take care of you throughout your stay.

Guests staying at Ilanga Lodge have the choice of six bedrooms which consist 3 units each with 2 bedrooms, all of which are en-suite. Whilst the bedrooms are not interleading they are suitable for families staying with their children and are located within easy access to the main lodge. Should you wish to have your children stay in the same room we can arrange for an extra mattress to be moved into the room. All the rooms have sliding doors opening up to the views of the bush and the dam in front of the lodge.

Unique to our lodges is the flexibility of either choosing to have your meals fully catered (on a full board basis) or the alternative of bringing your own food and our resident chef will do all the preparation and cooking for you. We will discuss and plan suggested meal options for the duration of the stay before your arrival at the lodge which will then be prepared according to your specific preference.

Activities
Included in your stay at the lodge are morning and evening Safari game drives together with your personal accredited and experienced game ranger. Afternoon game drives include sundowners in the bush together with your snacks and favourite drink to watch the African sun bid its farewell for another day.
Private walks in the reserve and The Bushpig Lapa can be arranged with prior request and subject to availability.
